California [US], November 30 (ANI): Four people were killed and at least 10 others wounded after a shooting at a family gathering in California, CNN reported.
According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, the mass shooting occurred Sunday evening in Stockton, located in California’s Central Valley. The suspect remains at large, and the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation.
Deputies responded to reports of gunfire shortly before 6 p.m. (local time) near Lucile Avenue, about six miles north of downtown Stockton.
The shooting took place at a banquet hall where a family celebration was underway, according to Heather Brent, spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office. Brent said the victims, ranging from juveniles to adults, were transported to local hospitals.
“Early indications suggest this may be a targeted incident,” she said, adding that information remains “very limited” at this stage.
