HLL pays record dividend to Government

New Delhi [India], October 25 (ANI): Mini-Ratna company HLL Lifecare Limited has paid a record dividend of Rs 69.53 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2024-25, further underscoring its strong financial performance. The Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare continues to demonstrate robust growth across its business verticals.

According to the Ministry of Health, HLL’s revenue from operations rose to Rs 4,500 crore during FY 2024-25, marking a 20 per cent increase over the previous year. The company’s net worth also climbed to Rs 1,100 crore as of March 31, 2025. On a consolidated basis, including its subsidiaries—HITES, GAPL, and Lifespring Hospitals—the HLL Group recorded total revenue of Rs 4,900 crore, reflecting a 19 per cent year-on-year growth.

Established on March 1, 1966, HLL Lifecare Limited has evolved from addressing India’s population control challenges to becoming a multi-product, multi-service healthcare enterprise that plays a pivotal role in the country’s health sector transformation.

“Through initiatives such as AMRIT Pharmacies, the company continues to make essential medicines and surgical products affordable, thereby reducing out-of-pocket expenses for patients across the country,” the ministry stated.

The dividend cheque was presented to Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare J.P. Nadda by Dr. Anitha Thampi, Chairperson of HLL, in the presence of Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel and Union Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava, among others.

Minister Nadda commended HLL’s consistent performance, describing it as a “reliable name in the field of medical services” and reaffirming its commitment to ensuring accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for all.

He further noted that HLL, along with its subsidiaries and AMRIT Pharmacies, has played a crucial role in transforming India’s healthcare landscape. “Over the last 10 years, more than 6.7 crore people have benefited from affordable medicines provided by AMRIT Pharmacies, saving over Rs 8,000 crore in out-of-pocket expenditure,” Nadda said.
