110 Countries to Participate in 11th Edition of International Pharmaceutical Exhibition

New Delhi [India], July 31 (ANI):
The 11th edition of the International Pharmaceutical Exhibition (iPEX 2025), organized by the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil), will take place from September 4 to 6 at Bharat Mandapam. The event is being held with the support of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

iPEX 2025 is set to be a major global event in the pharmaceutical sector, with participation from over 110 countries. It has previously attracted numerous foreign delegates and continues to grow as a key platform for international collaboration in the industry.

Bhavin Mehta, Vice President of Pharmexcil, told ANI, “We are going to have more than 110 countries on board. From these countries, over 600 participants will engage in B2B meetings. This is a very unique model developed by Pharmexcil. It was our brainchild to create something that allows MSMEs to effectively compete in the global market.”

“This year, we plan to facilitate more than 11,000 buyer-seller meetings, enabling our exhibitors to directly connect with international buyers,” Mehta added.

Addressing concerns related to the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation’s (CDSCO) new online submission system for the Certificate of Pharmaceutical Product (COPP), Mehta acknowledged the industry’s concerns. “We have made several representations to CDSCO. They have started conducting training sessions on a weekly or even daily basis. Our members are now logging into the newly developed portal and reporting the issues they are facing,” he said.

Highlighting the importance of COPP, Mehta stated, “COPP is at the heart of any pharmaceutical company’s operations. Nearly 45 percent of their revenue depends on it. While the digital transition is a welcome step, we believe it should be implemented in a phased manner to avoid any abrupt disruptions.”

He further emphasized the need for a balanced approach, especially in light of recent developments related to U.S. tariffs. “We’re asking CDSCO to take a calibrated approach. They’ve assured us that they are reviewing the situation and will get back to us,” Mehta said.

iPEX 2025 is expected to be a landmark event, providing a global platform for stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry to engage in dialogue, expand partnerships, and explore emerging opportunities.
