POONCH, Jammu and Kashmir, May 12 (ANI) — The Indian Army on Tuesday foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in the Krishna Ghati Sector of Poonch, killing one intruder.
According to the Indian Army’s entity[“organization”,”White Knight Corps”,”Indian Army”], suspicious movement was detected nearly 300 meters inside Indian territory during surveillance operations in the Krishna Ghati Sector at around 4 p.m.
In a post on X, the White Knight Corps stated, “Acting on persistent surveillance, suspicious movement was detected approximately 300 metres inside own territory in the general area of Krishna Ghati Sector, Poonch, along the LoC at around 4 PM today.”
The statement added that alert troops responded swiftly and successfully foiled the infiltration attempt, ensuring there was no breach along the Line of Control.
“One intruder has been neutralised. Own troops continue to dominate the area and maintain a high state of operational readiness across the sector,” the corps said.
“The Knight stands vigilant — every infiltration bid will fail. We serve, we protect!” the statement added.
Army personnel later launched a search operation in the area. Further details are awaited. (ANI)
