Jeddah, April 22 (ANI): Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit to Saudi Arabia, Yusuf Ali, Chairman of Lulu Group International, expressed optimism about the future of India-Saudi relations. Ali, speaking on behalf of the business community, highlighted the significance of the Prime Minister’s visit, noting that it would further solidify ties between the two nations.

The Prime Minister’s visit, at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, aims to bolster the strategic partnership between India and Saudi Arabia.

“We, the business community, are very happy and as our country is going to become a USD 5 trillion economy, Saudi Arabia will contribute a lot to the growth of our country,” Ali said. He emphasized the growing personal relationship between the leaders and expressed hope that this would further strengthen bilateral relations.

Upon arriving in Jeddah, PM Modi was warmly welcomed with a ceremonial 21-gun salute and an escort by Royal Saudi Air Force fighter jets. His visit marks a continued effort to deepen India’s ties with Saudi Arabia, especially in the context of economic and strategic cooperation.

PM Modi is scheduled to co-chair the second Leaders’ Meeting of the India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This meeting, along with several high-level engagements, is expected to pave the way for further strengthening economic, cultural, and strategic relations between the two countries.

PM Modi’s visit also marks a significant milestone in the long-standing relationship between India and the Gulf region, building on the foundation laid since 2014. In an interview ahead of his visit, PM Modi praised Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 reforms and the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He highlighted the “limitless potential” of the growing ties between the two nations, positioning it as a pillar of stability in a world of uncertainties.
